Under general supervision, conducts requests of confidential computer searches for child welfare program information and completes data entry of the requested information and provides technical assistance regarding child welfare programs (e.g., Putative Father Registry; Assessor Registry; Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System [SACWIS] Alleged Perpetrator Search Registry): contacts and obtains information (e. g., parents, caregivers, and/or other individual's date of birth and social security number) from parents, attorneys, courts, county children service agencies, and private child placing agencies in order to complete confidential database searches for program inquiries; prepares and sends written responses regarding program inquiries and maintains a computerized log to cross reference data; responds to general inquiries (e.g., telephone or electronic or written correspondence) from legislators, children service agencies, and the general public regarding program inquiries; processes program alerts timely and maintains filing systems and computerized logs for registry information.

Provides technical assistance and conducts training sessions for state, county, and private agency staff regarding child welfare program registry system; logs complaints and responds as directed by supervisor; forwards applicable correspondence to other DCY program areas maintains and updates manuals; operates personal computer with applicable software applications to enter, edit, and store data and to generate correspondence, reports, and other documents.

Performs other related duties as assigned (e.g., attends and participates in staff meetings; travels to attend meetings, conferences, and trainings; maintains logs, records, and files).

Qualifications

2 yrs. exp. in delivery of human services in governmental, community or private human services agency or medical provider where adherence to federal public assistance/human services policies & procedures or those issued by government agency was mandated.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science or pre-medicine or comparable field.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
