Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center has an immediate opportunity for an HVAC Technician. We offer competitive pay, a stable work environment at a single location and an outstanding benefits package!

Position Summary:

• Estimates materials, supplies and equipment required to perform work assignments.
• Determines the means and methods to be used in accomplishing assigned tasks and secures appropriate materials, supplies and equipment from stock and with appropriate approval from suppliers.
• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, and calibrates all types of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment including pumps, boilers, burners, temperature controls, thermostats, air conditioning and ventilating units, condensers, fans, evaporators, controls, related electrical apparatus and smoke and fire detecting and damping systems.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems in heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems by employing test equipment, gauges, meters, and measuring instruments.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Work requires a high school level or educational development
• Maryland Class C driver's license required.
• Certification as Journeyman HVAC Mechanic required.

Required Experience:

• Four years of HVAC Apprenticeship experience.

Shift:

Full-time, Day Shift (40 hours)

7:30 am - 4:00 pm
