What You'll Do
As an Endpoint Support Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for resolving technical issues and ensuring the seamless operation of our organization's computer systems. Your role is crucial in maintaining productivity and efficiency. You will provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and implement security measures to safeguard our data.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio's OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 34. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $35.31 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Network Administration: Assist in managing our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
- User Support: Provide technical assistance to employees, both in person and remotely.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect our organization's data and systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Troubleshooting and Resolving Issues: Diagnose and fix hardware and software problems, often under time constraints. This includes everything from minor glitches to major system failures.
- System Setup and Configuration: Set up new computer systems, install software, and configure networks.
- Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure all security protocols are followed.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:

- Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems;
AND
- 24 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring, maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and/or administering or operating multiple technology domains
- Including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
Option 2:
- Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems;
AND
- 30 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring, maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and/or administering or operating multiple technology domains
- Including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
Option 3:
- 48 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring, maintaining, configuring, upgrading, and/or administering or operating multiple technology domains
- Including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
Or
- Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
