Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift

1st shift Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm, OT and Weekends as needed

Pay based upon experience!

Job Summary:
Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance.? Actively involved in preventive maintenance program to achieve machine goals.

Responsibilities:
• Verify daily checks are done of material handling equipment, manufacturing and equipment in the facility.
• Coordinate routing maintenance for facility compliance with regulations and manufacturer standard.
• Maintain and perform monthly fire extinguisher/fire alarm tests and coordinate third party inspections.
• Coordinate maintenance and quarterly inspections of environmental control systems (fans and air conditioning systems.)
• Manage and oversee 4 dumpsters; mitigate cardboard and wood disposal.
• Maintenance of hydraulic equipment, including CF build stands.
• Maintain blast room and dust recovery system.
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
• Upkeep of company vehicles (inspections, oil changes, etc).
• Change/maintain filters in the paint booth.
• Maintain airflow of the paint booth.
• Order and dispose of filters for the paint booth.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
• Coordinate disposal of waste vacuuming of water jet table, die pen room and oil/water separate through SafetyKleen
• Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly safety inspections as directed by land lord.
• Manage vendors for grass mowing, weeding and snow removal.
• Quarterly maintenance of doc and doors and annual inspections.
• Oversee i-view climate control system.
• Ensure lathes and drill presses are operatable and guarding is installed to be effective and compliant.
• Perform observations after shop employees go home and identify air leaks in various cells on a monthly basis.
• Assist in maintaining cooling tower and water tank systems including water softener and chemical additives.
• Calibration of welding machines and upkeep of records.
• Coordinate maintenance of compressors
• Monitor and maintain stock levels for crating and packaging products.
• Monthly and thorough racking inspections.
• Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience coordinating outside service providers.
• Experience in industrial mechanical systems.
• 2-5 years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Attained high school diploma or equivalent.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
• Fully site based

Key Competencies:
• Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance including motors, controls, power supplies, AC/DC theory, power distribution, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission and pumps
• Demonstrated ability to follow all established safe work procedures including, but not limited to personal protection equipment, lockout/tag-out requirements and electrical safety
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals such as electrical and mechanical diagrams, and ability to effectively use and read gages, meters, calipers and other measuring tools
• Effective and safe use of all required tools including, but not limited to, drills, saws, torches, welders, cranes & hoists, forklifts and other maintenance equipment
• Ability to work other shifts, weekends and overtime as needed
