Join a team of Virginia's Top Shelf Talent! Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority is currently seeking a highly motivated Information Administration Specialist to join our diverse team within our Bureau of Law Enforcement. This position will be responsible for administering enforcement systems, implementing and managing technology procurement and implementation projects, producing and managing user guidance and training throughout the bureau.

Areas of Responsibility:

System Administrator responsibilities include the configuration, operation and maintenance of the Virginia ABC Licensing (VAL) system and the Records Management System (RMS) system. VAL and RMS are third-party Interact Records Management System (RMS) and related enforcement software (i.e. PowerDMS, VCIN, VSP applications). The Information Administration Specialist will also act as top tier support for end users and interface with third-party vendors for escalation of trouble tickets. Other responsibilities include acting as the liaison to the Information Technology Services Division for projects related to application development, infrastructure, procurement and integration of new technology, body worn camera system and management of the bureau's communications portal (SharePoint).

Qualifications:

Knowledge in a technology-related field along with demonstrated ability to implement and manage technology projects.

Knowledge of database structure and organization.

Understanding of business acumen; strategic thinker; excellent presentation and communication skills, familiarity with analyzing and documenting process flows.

Background in managing critical partner relationships.

Ability to work effectively with customers and IT management and staffs.

Strong technical and customer focus coupled with excellent leadership, organization, people, technical and business management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in technology related field or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to implement and manage technology projects

Familiarity with law enforcement functions. Basic knowledge of terminology, i.e. arrests, offenses, incidents, criminal vs. regulatory, etc.

Experience as a records management or case management system administrator in a law enforcement organization

Experience with police records management systems preferred

Knowledge of Esri ArcGIS.

Experience with information technology/hardware and software troubleshooting

Three-to-five years' experience in planning, managing and leading IT development projects with a passion for delivering excellence in customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.

Intermediate knowledge of PL/SQL, experience with report building using enterprise tools and/or Jasper reporting.
