Our work depends on a Cerner Information Security Analyst joining our team to support Federal EHR HIT Modernization program activities.

As a Information Security Analyst supporting an EHR modernization program, you will be trusted to be a subject matter expert in a matrixed team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining information security governance and privacy policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations and best practices, and with providing mission critical support to our customer.

HOW AN INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining information security governance and privacy policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conducting regular assessments and audits of information security and privacy controls to identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and document security and privacy requirements for new systems, applications, and processes.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of security and privacy awareness and training programs for employees to promote a culture of compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and industry trends related to information security and privacy to ensure ongoing compliance and adaptation of policies and procedures.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to information security and privacy incidents, including investigations, remediation, and reporting as necessary.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on information security governance and privacy matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders and business units.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and regulators during compliance assessments and audits, providing documentation and evidence as required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelors Degree and CISA Certification.
  • 5+ years' experience in information security or closely related field.
  • Knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, and methods related to cybersecurity compliance.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal privacy laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Organizational skills and detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Ability to present information and/or deliver training to groups.
  • Experience creating standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Experience handling sensitive user data and information.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools.
SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:
  • Must be able to obtain a public trust level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.

The likely salary range for this position is $96,000 - $144,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
