How will you make an impact in this role?

The Information Security Specialist - DSPM Technical Policy Management role will be part of a dynamic team that will lead activities for data discovery, classification, and risk assessment within the DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) group with close ties to the EDM initiative. This individual will apply DSPM tooling for creation of technical policies based on data requirements from laws, regulations, and directives.

Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Identifying data risk areas for evaluation.
  • Performing scans of data sources for asset tagging.
  • DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) tool policy definition.
  • Classification of data elements with applied categories according to sensitivity, risk level, and applicable laws/regulations.
  • Assessment of data risk applied guidance and recommendations.
  • Working across organizations to gather technical and business requirements.
  • Evaluation of controls to identify effectiveness and gaps.
  • Working with control owners on preventative and reactive solutions.
  • Management of data assets, including risk documentation and data inventory.
  • Preparing, executing, and presenting reporting for leadership, examiners, and business partners.
  • Participating in all key activities related to DSPM.
  • Providing backup or support for other processes on the team as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years data management experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Audit, or Information Security role.
  • Proficient understanding of data discovery and classification principles.
  • Experience with databases and unstructured data sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for risk and technical concepts.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with key partner collaboration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous data governance or technical asset inventory role.
  • Knowledge of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) tools and processes.
  • Risk assessment and risk management process experience.
  • Understanding of company data risk policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Experience with established industry Information Security standard methodologies.
  • Understanding of data-related laws and regulations.
  • Technical database coding abilities.


Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
