Information Systems Design Engineer III

Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for an Information Systems Design Engineer III who will be a key support to the design, engineering, installation, configuration, and transition to sustainment operations for the C4ISR and information technology (IT) infrastructure of the Navy, Joint, and National Command Center and C4ISR/IT-intensive shore facilities.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for providing comprehensive support for Active Directory, including designing, specifying, integrating, and implementing it on a complex distributed network with multiple classification enclaves. This involves integrating with DoD C2 systems and following associated information assurance processes/procedures.
  • Additionally, the role entails supporting various policies and technologies such as Windows Server, SCCM, SharePoint, physical/virtual environments and tools, security and capacity management, directory migration and recovery, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, ADFS, PKI, GPOs, identity management, process automation and improvement, multiple domains and forests, and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • The main focus of the position is managing user/computer accounts, security groups, replication, and security policies within Active Directory.
  • Furthermore, the individual will provide administration services for Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, SharePoint, physical/virtual environments and tools, security and capacity management, directory migration and recovery, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, ADFS, PKI, GPOs, identity management, process automation and improvement, multiple domains and forests, and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Active Directory Engineer/Administrator will be responsible for the design, specification, integration, and implementation of Active Directory on a complex distributed network with multiple classification enclaves. This includes integrating with DoD C2 systems and ensuring compliance with associated information assurance processes and procedures.
  • Primary focus is on managing user and computer accounts, security groups, replication, and security policies within Active Directory.
  • Additionally, you will provide administration services for Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, SharePoint, physical/virtual environments and tools, security and capacity management, directory migration and recovery, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, ADFS, PKI, GPOs, identity management, process automation and improvement. You will also apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure compliance.
  • Will play a key role in integrating Windows Server, SCCM, and SharePoint within the complex network environment. You will also provide support for physical/virtual environments and tools, security and capacity management, directory migration and recovery, DNS, DHCP, WINS, DFS, ADFS, PKI, GPOs, identity management, process automation and improvement across multiple domains and forests.
  • Must have a strong background in Active Directory support and are proficient in managing user/computer accounts, security groups, replication, and security policies within a complex network environment. Expertise in Windows Server technologies and experience with SCCM and SharePoint integration will be valuable assets in this role.

Qualifications:
  • Must have a master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • Must have 7 years of system administration experience.


Desired Qualifications
  • Desired certifications include one or more of the following: Server+, MCTS, MCSA, Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE, Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Server+, Storage Foundation Exam, Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle DB12C, RAC and Grid, VMware Certified Specialist, VMware Cloud Foundation Deployment, and Multi Cloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI).

  • Must have TS/SCI

Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal travel

Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
