The Technology Governance Division (TGD) of the Employment Development Department's (EDD) Information Technology (IT) Branch is seeking an Information Technology Manager (ITM) I to manage the Financial Management Section. The section consists of the IT Asset Management and Services Group, Cost Management Group, and the IT Procurement Group. The ITM I provides leadership and direction for IT asset management functions, budgeting and fiscal strategies as well as goods and services procurement based on State and Department policy.

The ITM I is responsible for managing the ongoing daily operations of the Financial Management Section, scheduling and prioritizing workload, managing and coaching subordinates, and workforce and succession planning. The ITM I works closely with other managers in the Division to ensure that resources are effectively used in alignment with TGD, IT Branch, and EDD's strategic goals.
The successful candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as demonstrated experience working with Control Agencies and stakeholders at all levels.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

Telework is available at your home where access to high-speed internet would be required. Telework days will be Monday, Thursday, Friday. On site, in person days will be Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. Background Investigation Requirement

The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation. However, applicants will not be asked to provide information about a conviction history unless they receive a conditional offer of employment.
