Infotainment Validation Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work with Automotive Connected Infotainment and related technologies such as Systems, Navigation, Personalization, HMI, ECUs, Rear View Camera systems, Radio, and Media
    • Work with the system architecture and business teams to drive concept ideas for the NAR market
    • Train, mentor, and support test and validation engineers
    • Collaboration with other Systems Engineers, and stakeholders
    • Manage the specification, development, and integration of API requirements between backend systems.
    • Work with communication protocols such as CAN, MOST, Ethernet, FlexRay
    • Interpret technical specifications
    • Work on developing new functions, integration and testing of Vehicle Systems
    • Analyze data from different ECUs and perform root cause analyses
    • Localize systems and functions according to regional requirements and laws
    • Risk management
    • Integration of service packages in vehicle projects and securing the deployment in production environment
    • Interaction with local and remote suppliers
    • Reporting of status and progress to internal and external stakeholders


Education and Skills Requirements

- Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (Electrical/Electronic, Telecommunications, Automotive, Information Technologies) or equivalent.
  • Experience with In-Vehicle Infotainment (3-5 years exp.)
  • Embedded and integrated automotive systems, system level thinking.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems and Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Vehicle ECU coding experience and architecture including CAN and Ethernet/networking knowledge.

Valid driver's license (Must get CAL License within 30 days of employment)

In Belmont, California, the salary range for this role is $110000 - $14000, depending on education and experience.
