Work you'll do
  • Support the oversight of implementing a large-scale, multi-year project supporting the administration of billion-dollar loan and grant programs
  • Serve as the local leader to manage the team, workstreams, and budget as well as, regularly interface with the client
  • Identify and understand complex functional interdependencies and make tactical decisions
  • Manage broad functional teams, including those with engineering, technology, financial, and regulatory backgrounds
  • Provide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staff
  • Lead development of business and vendor relationships
  • Lead the proposal development process
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities and provide input and guidance into the staffing process

Join our team of engineers, economists, planners, financiers, and data scientists who work to build and improve infrastructure and support economic growth across the United States. We work collaboratively to help agencies plan, finance, develop, build, and deliver the next-generation of infrastructure across the Federal Government, State Governments, and Local Municipalities. The client issues we tackle include transportation, energy/renewables, connectivity, social and health infrastructure, disaster response and recovery monitoring, and smart infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 8+ years of experience working in the energy and electricity sector
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, or another related field required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • 8+ years of technical and/or financial advisory consulting related experience in areas such as project finance, infrastructure, or real assets
  • Experience originating, developing, or financing large-scale natural gas-fired power generation infrastructure as well as microgrids
  • Experience managing broad functional teams, including those with engineering, technology, financial, and regulatory backgrounds
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities that requires professionals to co-locate in person in Austin 2-3 days per week
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior staff
Preferred:
  • Previous Professional Services Firm or Big 4 experience
  • Currently certified as a PE, AIA, PMP, PSP, CCM
  • MBA or Master's in economics, finance, or energy
