WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol
Report In Location - 1970 W Broad Street, Columbus 43223
[CURRENTLY HYBRID ELIGIBLE] Will report into the office 3 days a week and telework 2 days a week. Subject to change.
Primary Technology: Enterprise Security
Secondary Technology: Cisco, Microsoft Server/OS and LAN
Independently install, maintain, configure, upgrade, &/or administer hardware &/or software in assigned single technology domain; Utilizes vendor supplied & 3rd party utilities for monitoring; Provides Tier II-III level technical support to Law Enforcement Automated Database System(LEADS) subscribing agencies by diagnosing, analyzing & resolving issues; Promotes system security & awareness by adhering to the Agency's &/or State's IT security policy(s) & standards; Researches new technologies & security threats; Assist LEADS staff with the identification, purchase, implementation, configuration & monitoring of technology systems to support Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance; Assist & mentor lower level support staff.
Conduct information technology security audits of criminal justice agencies in Ohio (i.e., federal, state, local &/or special districts) in accordance with Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) & LEADS security policies (e.g., gathers information & documentation necessary to execute security audit procedures; prepares pre-audit & audit documentation; reviews criminal justice agency application, network & system security controls for policy compliance; reviews agency physical & logical access to & dissemination of CJI obtained from LEADS; reviews agency agreements for policy compliance; develop security audit finding & remediation documentation for areas of non-compliance; educates agency personnel & administrators on security best practices & provides guidance on audit finding remediation; issue, manage or revoke LEADS security sanctions for audit non-compliance); Responds to security incidents & takes appropriate action to remediate; Develops notifications & guidance on security threat remediation to criminal justice agencies; Establishes & maintains security systems access (i.e., CJIS online, CJIS Audit, etc.); Reviews federal policy changes, measures impact to Ohio criminal justice community & develops communication &/or education plans; Develops & presents technical security training to Ohio criminal justice agencies.
