Pay

This position is a non exempt position at pay grade 113.

Attendance

Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of electrical components and ensure construction location conforms to adopted Codes and Ordinances

• Maintain records on all inspections performed and performs data collection and data entry relating to inspections

• Operate a mobile laptop computer

• Operate a City vehicle from project site to project site

• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma/ GED

• Minimum of (6) six years of experience

• ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector within 12 months of hire date

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
