Description
The West Virginia University Reed College of Media seeks an experienced multimedia sports journalist to teach courses in the college's unique Sports and Adventure Media major starting in August 2024.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in sports and adventure media reporting and writing and in audio, video and digital content production. A bachelor's degree in journalism with at least seven years of professional experience as a multimedia sports journalism is required. Experience teaching sports writing and production and mentoring young professionals of diverse backgrounds is preferred.

Qualifications
A master's degree in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications or a related field and relevant professional media experience is desired; however, candidates with a bachelor's degree and at least seven years of professional media experience are also encouraged to apply.
The Reed College of Media at West Virginia University is located in Morgantown, WV, about 70 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA, and a three-hour drive from Washington, D.C. Outdoor adventure recreation abounds in the area, including some of the East's best rock climbing and whitewater rafting, just minutes from town.
