Insight Global is looking for an Instrument Technician for a Houston Client. This client is a technology and engineering solutions provider to the energy industry. The Instrument Technician role will be supporting the Aftermarket Services group and will specialize in instrument calibration and preventative maintenance of equipment to ensure equipment remains operational. This also includes troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment problems. This individual will be responsible for supporting the shop and maintaining and building equipment including production power units and chemical skids. Day to day, this individual will follow the shop procedures, write daily reports of what was accomplished, and maintain detailed maintenance records. Travel is required for this role, as other responsibilities include supporting different service managers on various onshore and offshore projects related to commissioning, installation, long term maintenance and upgrades of equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with calibrating Instruments - pressure transmitters, level transmitters, and valves

Experience with equipment maintenance including running diagnostics and troubleshooting

Experience writing daily reports and maintenance records

Basic electrical knowledge - low voltage experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Offshore experience

Experience with production hydraulic power units and chemical skids
