Occupational Summary:
As a Safran Seats USA Engineering Intern, you will work in one of the following areas: Mechanical Design, Certification, Materials and Process, Certification, Simulation and Test, Systems Engineering or Project Engineering. You will perform a variety of engineering tasks and responsibilities required to define, develop, and maintain Aircraft Seating components. These tasks may include required engineering analysis or modeling, drawing and document creation, trouble shooting and coordination with the manufacturing team to ensure a producible product, or completion of requirements validation or verification.

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

A) Complete assigned tasks/projects per written scope of work.
B) Read blueprints and/or schematics.
C) Troubleshoot and work as a member of the team to solve problems.
D) Attend meetings related to the project or department.
E) Prepare a presentation on assigned program/project.
F) Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate skills & requirements
Qualification Requirements:

A) Knowledge and Skills:
i) Strong written and oral communication skills.
ii) Working knowledge of CAD software.
iii) Familiarity with safe operation of basic hand tools and equipment.
iv) Acquire an understanding manufacturing processes.
v) Attention to detail.
vi) Excellent problem solving skills.
vii) Proficiency in MS Office software.

B) Education and Experience:
i) Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a technical field of study such as mechanical, electrical, material science, or aerospace engineering as a junior or senior level student.

C) Competencies:

Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies.

D) Communication Skills:

Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
