Overview

We are actively looking for an IT Intern to join the Home Office IT team reporting to our General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
• Learns organizational processes and procedures.
• Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
• Handles basic issues and problems
• Other Responsibilities may incude:
  • lData analysis and report validation.
  • Report design and development.
  • Business Intelligence application management
  • Other duties as assigned.

Impact of the Role

• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
• Handles basic issues and problems
• R efers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Curently enrolled or some college related courses preferred.
• Major in Business, Information Technology, or applicable field is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate -controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• May be requested to work a different shift .
• Travel Requirements No or very little travel likely.
