A financial company is looking to hire on a DevOps engineer to work as member of the DevOps team, the work is 70-30% split between scheduled work and operational support. You will be expected to....

o Understand the current DevOps setup and become a subject matter expert for one or two tools.

o Participate in the sprint work, daily scrums, and document the work.

o Build new capabilities like automation for AWS EKS, add new Spinnaker pipelines, coding the backend.

o Pickup work from backlog related to CI CD improvements, automation, new features, and troubleshooting.

o Produce new ideas, tools and refine the work for greater efficiency and simplify architecture.

o Build integration with third party API's, tools like Service Now, git, strive for pipeline as code and shift left mentality.

o Build audit and governance around the processes already built and enforce it for new initiatives.

o Keep streamlines resources for optimal cost and performance.

Required Skills & Experience

Should know docker, microservices framework like AWS ECS or EKS.

Should be an expert in creating CI CD pipelines, preferably Cloudbees CJOC, Spinnaker, Artifactory using Jfrog.

Deep understanding of shared libraries in Jenkins, promotional models like gitflow and trunk based deployments.

Be conversant with git commands, branch management, release preparation, merge and rebase technics.

Database management as code skills, Liquibase knowledge desired.

Be fluent in communication, able to present solutions to larger user groups.

Willing to learn and adopt new technologies quickly and minimum hand holding.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Good knowledge on GitLab or GitHub, managing large number of projects, users and groups.

Good to have networking knowledge and any SaaS migration experience like git migration.

Knowledge of monitoring, observability, graphing tools.

Audit and governance adoption in DevOps is desired

Good to have release management tool experience, Jira, ServiceNow integration with the CI CD highly desired.
