You Role:The Inventory Control Specialist position with MilliporeSigma in St. Louis, MO will evaluate and make recommendations regarding inventory management, perform transactions using SAP, and collaborate with Supply Chain teams. As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will be part of the Supply Chain team and collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse and Distribution, and Quality team members. Participation in internal project meetings will also be expected on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include:Work closely with Materials Management through cycle count and scrap/discard processDevelop and Lead Inventory initiatives for reduction of waste, removal of scrap/expiry/rejected materials, visibility and projection of inventoryUse SAP to analyze current inventories, projected inventory based on open orders and consumptionsWork with Manufacturing and Production Coordinators to ensure material usage reporting and Process order closeout is timelyEvaluate Inventory Turns and make recommendationsAssist planners to analyze Inventory and Identify ordering patternsFacilitate Cycle Counts and root cause discrepancies partnering with the material management groupReport on idle stock and obsolete items with the intent of determining potential reallocation to asses recoveryMinimize and reduce blocked stock value by assisting with timely disposal Assist in material and inventory forecasting reviews Additional duties as assigned Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in any discipline1+ year of experience in any of the following roles: Inventory, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse, Analyst, or Manufacturing Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management1+ years planning/supply chain management using an MRP and/or ERP systemsExperience with SAP Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other internal software programs)Strong analytical abilities with problem solving techniques, unconditional commitment to teamwork and communicationAbility to follow cGMP standardsAbility to work independently and adhere to deadlinesHigh sense of urgencyExtremely organized and detail orientedGood judgment and analytical skillsRSREMD
