Company Overview

General Summary:

Primarily interacts with the stores and field personnel to ensure the proper level of core merchandise in the stores. Perform analysis for stock-outs, over-stocks, and other inventory problems, as well as, executing the changes needed to adjust the merchandise flow to remodeled and relocated stores. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring reports and inquiries used to identify replenishment problems and initiate corrective actions.

Job Details

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Controls the assortment of core product through analysis of specific store layout requirements, maintaining store attributes and partnering with Space Planning to ensure the correct planogram (POG) needs are addressed.
  • Provides core replenishment support to stores and field management via voice, email or using RESPOND (the store communication software).
  • Analyses specific store core product sales trends and controls the flow of core product through the manipulation of inventory stock levels.
  • Analyze Lifecycle Remodel layouts and data extractions to ensure these stores are set up with the appropriate planograms and merchandise.
  • Control the amount of product that flows into the stores prior to remodel and relocation fixture date.
  • Partners with Transportation to monitor carton totals to ensure that processing exceptions are resolved.
  • Works with Employee Response Center to help identify potential technical issues relating to the successful transmission of product movement activities.
  • Analyzes sales trends as they pertain to stock level recalculation exceptions and adjusts as necessary.
  • Assists in interdepartmental data sharing activities.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of retail operations and distribution center procedures and systems.
  • Ability to adapt easily and handle several tasks at one time.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form.
  • Well organized with the ability to determine priorities with little supervision.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Work Experience &/or Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. 2-3 years of progressive administrative experience involving computer systems handling complex information. At least 1 year involving customer service or inventory replenishment. Experience and knowledge of Island Pacific System and Alldata G.O.L.D. knowledge preferred.
