Description

This position provides assistance in the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Banner Student Information System and the underlying Oracle databases. This position provides assistance in the creation and coordination of user accounts between Active Directory and Banner. This position works closely with the financial portions of the Banner Student Information System. This position is also responsible for the integration of the TouchNet payment gateway as well as the TouchNet online marketplace. This position serves as project lead on many Banner related projects.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Other degrees will be considered providing experience is in information systems. Experience may substitute for a degree on a year for year basis.

• 2 years of experience with Banner SIS, Oracle database administration, Windows and Linux Operating Systems, database and web programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively read, program, and debug, in the following languages: C# (or equivalent), Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript (including jQuery).?

• Ability to research and debug errors in programming code and in server or software configurations.

• Ability to easily navigate Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

• Ability to think logically and critically.

• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL

• The ability to set priorities in a variety of technical domain

• Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverable

• Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)

• Possess excellent analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skill

• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

• Ability to lead and follow

• Self-Motivated

• Quick/Adaptive Learner
