The mission of the Lone Wolf program is to support, operate, and maintain the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Enterprise Services (DCIN-TS ES) which is a DoD-provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data, global communications network that facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and key staff. The duties and responsibilities of the IT Fielding Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Perform as senior-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a secure, multi-platform operating environment.
  • Provide support to a large and diverse customer base as a member of a complex team comprised of contractors and government personnel.
  • Assist with integration of network and hardware infrastructure, including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and management of the enterprise LAN/WAN.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of the following devices: KG-175 TACLANE encryption devices; Cisco routers; switches; VoIP phones and VTC devices; rack infrastructure; servers; UPS; and networked printers, scanners, digital senders, workstation computers, and all associated desktop peripherals.
  • Provide Windows 10/11 desktop administration and end-user support, including operating system deployment and imaging via MECM, client application installation, roaming profiles, troubleshooting, and peripheral support.
  • Install, label, and organize interior STP CAT5/6 copper, fiber, and AV cabling to include cable management.
  • Review mission scope-of-work requirements and technical design packages.
  • Prepare and execute hardware deployment and site installation plans. Coordinate with customer project managers, administrative and technical program support staff, and customers.
  • Mobilize and direct the installation team.
  • Update and complete support tickets and post installation close-out operations.
  • Close-out operations include submitting travel receipts and travel vouchers for reimbursement, submitting hand receipts and customer signed inventories to Logistics personnel, and updating site data with Site Design team members and Customer Project Managers.
  • Have familiarity with modern technological developments and applications to assist in evaluation of new products and make recommendations for purchase.
  • Perform site surveys to assess and document current and proposed site network configuration and architecture based on mission requirements, specifications, and customer needs. Create diagrams as needed for planning and documentation purposes.
  • Ability to travel up to 25-50% during business hours within the National Capital Region (NCR); Occasional multi-day travel outside the NCR may be required Valid Driver's License.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to maneuver in small spaces (under desks, server rooms, communications closets) while running cords and cables.
  • Must dress business casual and act in a professional manner at all times

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification: Security+ CE certification or equivalent Windows 10 certification - MCSA or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern
  • Desktop Administrator Associate (MDAA)

Clearance Required:
  • Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility

Minimum Years of Experience:
  • 10 years of Experience

Preferred:
  • Experience with installation and configuration of enterprise network and systems infrastructure devices, cabling, and operational best practices
  • Strong Windows 10 desktop administration skills
  • Understanding of Active Directory, MECM, DHCP, DNS, Cisco IOS, SolarWinds, and Remedy
