The Amazon OTS IT Supply Chain organization manages a large suite of products and product portfolios. We are responsible for a wide variety of global initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment Operations. Product Managers are responsible for the catalog data accuracy, to include new product induction and product replacement for entries which have reached the end of their life-cycle. This role will apply technology products to solve problems and delight customers.
Product Managers use technical understanding which ensures accurate representation of a technology (benefits and risks) and the underlying Supply Chain limitations and opportunities for a proposed feature. This will impact a product's customer experience (CX), feature usability, success metrics, engineering team goals, and may impact organization-level goals. This role will work independently, seeking direction when needed.
Key job responsibilities
• \tFollow Amazon Infrastructure product introduction best practices and work backwards.
• \tManage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Network Cutsheets for new Amazon Fulfillment Operations with focus on Network Infrastructure
• \tCollaborate with diverse, cross functional stakeholders to identify and integrate infrastructure assets across multiple regions
• \tProvide CAR Inputs for new site builds, retrofits and expansions
• \tComprehension of various infrastructure frameworks and use cases
• \tGenerate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for launching new sites
• \tCreate and maintain modularized building designs in Project Lifecycle Management software
• \tChange, Add, Remove products from the catalog.
• \tEnsure products underlining data (ex: manufacture and supplier details are 100% accurate)
• \tBe the Voice of the Customer and articulate their needs.
• \tParticipate in customer research and user studies and in quarterly AEW sessions.
• \tIdentify and review ideas and use cases and clarify how they differ from existing solutions
• \tEnsure usability studies include diverse customer sets and perspectives. The Product Manager will drive constructive discussions that help customers, design, development, and comply with Amazon policy with multiple teams to reach consensus
• \tUse business expertise and product domain knowledge with technical understanding.
• \tProduct Managers take the time to learn the products (e.g., functionality, architecture constraints, key dependencies, and maintenance characteristics) and reasons behind the product's technology design
• \tDive into technical details (e.g., probe assumptions that led to technology decisions as well as operation ability choices, etc.).
• \tRecognize when a proposed feature design or technology choice is going to complicate or pose a risk to future deliverable.
• \tAsk the right technical questions to make sure the right trade-offs are made
• \tClearly articulate feature scope, timeline, owners, risks, and the steps being taken to mitigate those risk
• \tAccelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., "Path to green"), and by escalating appropriately.
• \tWork with Deployment Project Management team on launch process, including test and deployment to Beta/Prod Review product features to make sure acceptance criteria is met.
• \tWork with support groups on post-launch support plans (e.g., triage, issue/ticket management, COEs), run retrospectives, and/or hold postmortems.
• \tArticulate customer pain points from a technical perspective and determine if the right Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are in place and, if not, work to define them.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of product management experience
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level
- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
- 3+ years of Experience with core IT infrastructure components and service concepts. Including physical installation and network design.
- APICS, S&OP, or Six Sigma Certification with an understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience with ERP systems, Product Lifecycle Management systems, and ServiceNow.
- Product and portfolio management in IT Infrastructure within warehouse operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership, organization, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, editorial and presentation skills.
- Excellent meeting management and facilitation skills.
- Experience with comprehending and explaining technical concepts.
