SCOPE OF POSITION
Providing seamless mobile experiences requires continuity spanning mobile infrastructure, information architecture, user interfaces, content, and more.
The Mobile App Product Manager is a new position designed to help Ballad Health realize that continuity and create cohesive experiences on our mobile apps, which target both our customers and internal team members.
A connector who helps bridge many disciplines, the Mobile App Product Manager speaks the language of designers, engineers, data analysts, key stakeholders, and other business and operations team members.
This ideal candidate can dig deep into the details while not losing sight of the big picture - user experience, business goals and KPIs.
Responsibilities
The Mobile App Product Manager is responsible for:
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all Ballad Health mobile apps and related content, design and development needs
  • Identifying the best methods and opportunities for user research, including surveys, multivariate and usability tests, as well as managing the design and development of those tests, user personas and other tools
  • Ensuring leadership vison, subject-matter expert guidance, user research and feedback, and analytic insights are translated into clearly defined business/technical requirements and deliverables that help build seamless user experiences
  • Helping prioritize features, define product releases and coordinating individual deliverables and managing interdependencies
  • Optimizing mobile apps for ongoing improvement in engagement, activation/conversion and retention
  • Ensuring sufficient quality assurance efforts are made and processes are in place to review and test mobile apps for functionality, consistency, intuitiveness and more
  • Overseeing mobile app production, including collaboration with internal resources and external partners to maintain our mobile product roadmaps and the implementation of new features, technical upgrades and bug fixes
  • Collaborating with and fostering an atmosphere of collaboration between department/team leadership; digital, marketing communications and other consumer team members; business partners such as IT, practice operations and hospital teams; and third-party vendors
  • Reviewing market, industry and mobile trends, as well as internal metrics, with an eye to the ongoing evolution of Ballad Health's mobile apps
  • Managing admin users, admin user training/onboarding, admin interfaces and process documentation and support
  • Working with the analytics team to define and track success metrics
    Requirements
  • Experience leading successful mobile products/platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile technologies and trends; as well as a solid understanding of and eye for UI, UX, interaction, and visual design principles and techniques
  • Experience with API-first methodologies and API products
  • Familiarity with options and best practices for integrating third-party services into mobile apps
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills to develop best-in-class solutions to complex user-interaction challenges
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, mature judgment, and professional diplomacy
  • Strong project-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a deadline-focused environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive cross-functional groups toward a common goal
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presenting technical concepts in a way that's accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Reliable, resourceful, strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and staying up to date on relevant skills
  • Healthcare/hospital industry marketing experience a plus
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in digital content and/or product management (or directly related disciplines) required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    MS or MA degree in marketing, communications, information management systems or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education, work experience and professional qualifications
