General Description:
Advanced inventory position with responsibility for the implementation, technical support and management of asset management software system (Asset Panda). Position is responsible for managing the entire life cycle of IT assets - from procurement to surplus. Position will also participate in long-term strategic planning, recording assets in the asset management system, and provide reports and metrics to drive process improvement.
Serve on Asset Management Team to track and maintain College’s IT assets for assigned locations. Using Asset Panda, enter new assets, track existing assets, and surplus expiring assets based on College’s policies and procedures. Regularly audit asset records to ensure compliance with existing policies and procedures. Actively participate in the annual IT inventory (including GAP analysis).

Duties and Tasks:
  • Assess, plan and take necessary steps to resolve user issues related to Asset Panda and/or inventory process.
  • Support end-users by providing training and consultation.
  • Troubleshoot, research and resolve systems issues for users.
  • Provide technical support to functional users, including developing reports and queries needed for college operations.
  • Analyze business processes for potential improvements and/or efficiencies.
  • Test business practices and other strategies to leverage Asset Panda.
  • Recommend strategies to leverage Asset Panda to address college priorities and evolving needs. Identify issues and recommend changes to policies and procedures related to asset inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by College Computing leadership.
  • Seek professional development opportunities and remain current in asset management field.
  • Frequent travel between campus locations. No overnight travel.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in Asset Management life cycle management
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite, Teams, SharePoint and other software platforms.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Experience in IT hardware, components, peripherals, and infrastructure systems.
