Job Description:

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

As a Specialist, Material Management you will analyze MRP supply and demand requirements for both production and development programs. You will work directly with Assembly, test, engineering, program, and procurement personnel on a daily basis. Additionally, this position works directly with other MRP analysts to coordinate hardware requirements for various programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Working under general supervision, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, highly engineered product environment with changing requirements and schedules, and be able to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, and have the ability to plan, organize, and track work assignments.
  • Use internal ERP system (Oracle) to plan and execute program schedules. Analyze program manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and test of hardware. Maintain and generate Planning Requirements, release supplier requisitions and shop orders for both MBOM and independent demand requirements. This also includes the identification of supply chain shortages to ensure velocity is maintained during the fabrication, assembly, and test cycle. Identify and initiate Program Inventory Surplus/Close Out.
  • Track both raw materials and finished parts through assembly and shop areas. Coordinate with other organizations as needed to ensure that schedule commitments are being met. Interface with Program and Master Schedulers in support of the Integrated Production Master Schedule to resolve conflicts with other programs. If schedule is impacted, will be able to understand and communicate what is needed from the team to get back on track.
  • Identify and communicate concerns and issues with potential scheduling impacts. Use historical and forecast data, with the goal of helping program teams reach optimum solutions to issues/concerns involving internal and external customer requirements. Make recommendations to your team on how schedules can be minimally impacted. Relay information to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior supply experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior supply chain experience.
