Position:IT Manager - Endpoint Engineering
Location: New Haven, CT - Hybrid (3x a week onsite)
Rate: Negotiable based on experience
Duration: Full Time
Position Description:
In this role you will be responsible for the management of the Endpoint Engineering Team. The team is responsible for managing several key services within IT, many of which impact the entire community, including Endpoint Management Tools, Managed Workstation Program, Virtual Desktop & Applications, Desktop Backup Service, Mobile Device Management, Software Packaging and Delivery, and others.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct a team of 8 Endpoint Engineers professionals, focusing on enhancing the teams service quality and operational efficiency. Foster a collaborative environment conducive to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Establish a customer service/engineer hybrid role to enhance client interactions and service delivery, fostering a culture of excellence in support and driving the teams development in superior service provision.
  • Lead pivotal IT initiatives, including the refinement of the managed computer program and the Azure Virtual Desktop environment, aligning technological advancements with user needs for a seamless computing experience.
  • Oversee ownership and administration of SCCM and Intune to effectively manage a complex endpoint environment, ensuring optimal performance, security compliance, and user satisfaction across the organization. Drive the future state of endpoints while maintaining the success of the current endpoint offering.
  • Establish communication channels and feedback mechanisms with various departments, driving improvements in IT services and fostering a customer-focused culture within IT operations.
  • Evaluate and select endpoint solutions collaborating with vendors, negotiating contracts to align with budgetary constraints and operational goals. Implement process improvements to streamline IT service delivery.
Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in the IT Field, preferably Endpoint, Virtualization, and Cloud Documentation.
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience overseeing SCCM and InTune.
  • Team Player and Self Motivated.
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent in experience.
  • Microsoft certification (AZ-900, AZ-140, SC-900, MS-900, SC-900), Apple Certified Support Professional, ITILv3 Foundation
