IT Program Manager - Cloud Security

Our client, is seeking a Cloud Security Program Manager to join their team.

Job Title: Cloud Security Program Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ - HYBRID MODEL
Must be able to go onsite x3 per week at one of these locations.

Overview :
We are seeking a Technical Program Manager with a strong background in cloud security to lead a critical multiyear initiative focused on enhancing our cloud security posture management. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in cloud security risk management, particularly with SaaS and Microsoft cloud products. This role is essential in championing a core aspect of our cloud security program, ensuring technical soundness while driving long-term strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Own the end-to-end process of a specific area within cloud security posture management.
• Lead the program management efforts for cloud security initiatives, ensuring effective alignment with broader organizational strategies.
• Collaborate with teams involved in IAM, Cloud Security, and Defense to identify technical limitations, suggest improvements, and drive cloud security enhancements.
• Act as the technical liaison between cross-functional teams, providing input on cloud security risks and posture management.
• Lead long-term (1-3 year) programs related to cloud security without short-term contracts.
• Contribute to strategic conversations and guide technical teams on broader cloud security issues and solutions.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of experience managing or being involved in multiyear cloud security programs.
• Hands-on experience in cloud security risk management, including SaaS platforms and Microsoft cloud products.
• Strong understanding of cloud security limitations and ability to work with teams to identify and address these challenges.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders, providing valuable input to discussions around cloud security strategies.

Nice to Have :

• CISSP Certification or equivalent cloud security certifications.

Personality & Leadership Traits :

• Experience leading cloud security efforts, ideally from a financial institution or in a Technical Project Manager capacity at a larger organization.
• Ability to manage programs with a technical perspective, actively participating in technical discussions and advising on broader cloud security strategies.
• Skilled at fostering collaboration among technical teams and adding value in identifying and resolving real-world technical limitations.
