Position Summary

The Bureau of Information Security Management is looking for someone who can manage information security projects and lead and provide technical expertise to our security team. This position will manage cybersecurity modernization projects from conception to operational execution, ensuring seamless transitions to new infrastructure and systems. This position will lead cross-functional teams and harness their expertise to deliver projects on time and within budget. In addition, this position will drive strategic initiatives focused on enhancing our effectiveness and service delivery.

Salary Information

This position is in classification IS Business Automation Consultant/Administrator (pay schedule/range 07-32), with an annual salary between $99,840.00 - $123,468.80, plus excellent benefits. Pay for current and new state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of hire.

Job Details

ETF offers hybrid remote/office work. The selected employee(s) must report to ETF's office on the first day of employment , once a quarter, and as project needs require. All employees are expected to be headquartered and work within the state of Wisconsin.

ETF does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.

Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the duties required of the position.

A 12-month probationary is required.

Qualifications

Minimally Qualified candidates will have experience in all the following :
  • Leading IT Projects involving multiple technology teams (e.g., infrastructure, system admins, network administrators, security, vendors, partner agencies)
  • Developing and executing workplans for large-scale projects
  • Leading IT projects involving both internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Assessment and alignment of operational policies, standards, or procedures with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS-CSC, or similar)
Highly Qualified candidates will also have experience with some of the following :
  • Using workflow tracking/ticketing systems such as Jira, Ivanti, or similar
  • Implementing project management principles on large-scale projects
  • Implementing strategic programs or operating model initiatives (e.g., information risk management programs, cybersecurity maturity models, security awareness training, vulnerability management)
  • Developing or implementing cyber security risk management frameworks with maturity models
