Tuknik Government Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an IT Support Analyst to support TGS and our government customer in Woodlawn, MD. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible of keeping the SSA’s user community aware of all application, system and service availability events by proactively identifying, reporting and escalating.
  • Posting/Sending notification to the SSA’s users’ community via Management Notification systems and SSAlert.
  • Utilize email, instant messaging, and other tools to accomplish the task
  • Monitor WebHealth mailbox and process alerts; open incident management tickets and create notifications using SSAlerts.
  • Communicate real-time events to customers and managers using SSAlert tool to create email and/or text notifications. Events might include system outages, application-problem work-around, or facility closures.
  • Post internal and external availability and maintenance notifications on the notification center application. Events are posted at least hourly.
  • Update incident tickets as needed. Tickets opened due to alerts are updated with status once reported by the component working on the issue.
  • Update and or modify Webhealth application procedures, as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain SharePoint Calendar for upcoming Maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain SSA Office Closing and Delay entries
  • Monitoring multiple Mailboxes and taking the appropriate actions needs to each item that comes in per procedures.
  • Managing ServiceNow ticketing Queue - Updating tickets and moving tickets to the correct queues to be work on.
  • Monitoring SMARTS for alerts.
  • Investigating alerts in the SMARTS console by running manual checks, contacting the application sponsors/support if necessary, creating a -ServiceNow ticket, updating the Ticket and posting Management Notification/SSAlert if necessary.
  • Investigate outages and the root cause of the outage.
  • Working on requests per lead and/or Branch Chief
  • Adhere to Communication Operations Branch Procedures (SOP)
  • Other task as stated in the SOW and assigned

The candidate must:
  • Exceeds expectations for Attendance
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Able to provide manager with weekly/Monthly status report
  • Able to Multi-task
  • Able to monitor Teams/Skype Chat without any issues
  • Must be a team player - Able to work with your co-workers and management
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Additional Information:
  • Location: Baltimore or Durham - Please note that current COSB team is all located in Baltimore, MD
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm, Note: May need to stay pass 2:30pm on some days when needed.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
