IT Support Engineer, IT Infrastructure

This position within IT Operations will serve primarily to support the Desktop Engineering team by means of responding to and triaging escalations while managing routine tasks within client management and support systems. The position will facilitate Desktop Engineering efforts to curate, refine, maintain, and improve workstation standards and related systems for Tesla's global endpoint fleet. The primary task of this position will be to bridge IT support teams with Desktop Engineering to consolidate and streamline escalation efforts by troubleshooting all endpoint related systems and software. Additionally, this position will also assist with the day-to-day operations for Tesla's global IT infrastructure to provide support for Tesla's IT initiatives. These duties will be performed in compliance with policy guidelines and within timeframes as defined in the team's SLAs and/or project requirements.


Responsibilities

• Initial point of engagement for IT and business escalations reported to the Desktop Engineering team
• Pilot deployments such as applications, scripts, security patches, and Windows or Mac updates before they are moved into production
• Assist the Desktop Engineering team in developing, testing, and implementing new solutions to improve the end user experience and our security posture
• Analyze various logs and related system events to determine issues with software packaging, installations, imaging, or other end point issues
• Occasionally assist IT Helpdesk team with phone calls and/or tickets being submitted by internal employees

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in desktop support in large organizations
• Experience with MECM, JAMF and InTune
• Must have experience working with Linux devices
• Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, and Microsoft Applications; and an in-depth ability and understanding of Windows 10 & 11 registry, services, drivers, file systems, etc is required
• Excellent knowledge of MacOS
• Excellent communications and documentation skills
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory Group policy as applied to workstations

Expected Compensation

$80,000 - $288,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
