Java Architect - Cloud

The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for the end-to-end solution of CWS Cloud and On-Prem solutions. This position is responsible to deliver solutions which realize the targeted the business requirements and benefits.

The Senior Solutions Architect would require working with different stakeholders in architecture, development, Operations, Customer Service Projects delivery, and Product Marketing to meet business and customer requirements to ensure successful product delivery and great customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Design, architect, develop, integrate, and test architecture frameworks in support of CWS products and aligned roadmap
2. Assist in developing architecture strategies (statements of position/direction, principles, reference architectures, etc.) that align to the company's business strategy and influence technology directions.
3. Research, engineering, and integration of new solutions. Applies service-oriented architecture principles to meet the roadmap and customer integrity and availability requirements.
4. Performs issue resolution and triage, including determining scope, urgency, and potential impact. Makes recommendations and drives solutions that enable expeditious remediation.
5. Assist the Director in developing policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation, and use of technology within the architecture roadmap.
6. Transforms business/customer requirements into technical specifications in Software Design Documents that are PDDP complaint
7. Works in a cross-functional environment to propose innovative products and solutions to meet business strategy objectives.
8. Develops specifications for CWS products and services that meet business and customer requirements.
9. Keeps current on technology trends both in the industry as a whole and with the CWS applications deployed
10. Collaborates with Architect Review Board team to review solution designs and any new implementation or introduction of new technologies to ensure compliance with CWS cybersecurity and roadmap aligned requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

2-3 years Software Development Solution Architecture building SaaS software
Experience with cloud application design/architecture using the cloud. Must have built software on/in the cloud.
Strong App Dev background in the following technology stack:
o Java/Javascript
o 2+ years with Angular and proven code review experience
o AWS Services: Aurora, AWS IoT, S3, EC2, Lambda, Amazon MQ.
o Experience with Spring Boot framework.
o Strong in microservices know how microservices are used, the scaling aspect would be a combo between this person and the infrastructure architect. Large scale applications with large volume, but scaling is used to lower cost but theyll work with the other person on that aspect.
Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD Processes
Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and mapping (functional requirements to software design requirements)
Environment: Agile methodology, Atlassian, Jira & Confluence (Experienced in Atlassian development and related tools/add-ons (specifically Jira, Confluence, bitbucket, Zephyr, Crucible).

o ALMA OS experience
o Java Certifications
