Java/AWS Developer

Cognizant Digital Engineering is seeking a Java/AWS lead developer, who can design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices. Someone who involves in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment.

To be successful as a Java/AWS lead, you should be hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka).

Location: Columbus. OH (working three days on site)

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

• Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment.

• Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices

• Hands on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK(Kafka)

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.

• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues

• Adds value to team delivery and works with team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learns new skills.

Key Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

• 8+ years of software development experience

• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Oracle, Kafka

• Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.

• Good to have experience in any of the rule's engine (Ex. Drools)

• Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia)

• Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins

• Strong communication skills and experienced in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.

• Strong Analytical skills and problem-solving

• Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail oriented.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
