Job Description:

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of Software Developer III hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of Software Developer 3 emerging and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Department of Public Safety.

Required Skills:

• 8 years of experience in Sustaining and development experience in support of large applications in a team environment

• 8 years of experience in Oracle SOA stack
• 8 years of experience in Oracle database
• 5 years of experience in Java
• 5 years of experience in SQL database
• 5 years of experience in Linux

Preferred Skills:

• 8 years of experience in Atlassian tool suite, especially JIRA
• 8 years of experience in Agile methodology
• 2 years of experience with State of Texas applications; experience with Texas Department of Public Safety environment, experience with Regulatory Services applications
• 2 years of experience in transitioning applications from Oracle SOA/Oracle DB to Java/SQL environment
