Software Engineer Sr Advisor

HOW A SOFTWARE ENGINEER SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Designs, develops, evaluates, plans and tests engineering specifications for software programs and applications
Collaborate with other talented software engineers within an Agile development environment to produce quality solutions that deliver value early.
Maintain responsibility for the end-to-end lifecycle for software development and the application in production. This includes the technical analysis of the requirements, development of the software, automated testing, builds, deployment, monitoring, and feedback.
Contribute to the development of applications that are designed to improve the national security of the United States of America
Use experience and skills to build well-architected, readable, efficient code. Develop code encompassing the full stack of the application, including the JavaScript UI framework, Java back end, database modeling and queries, and web service API.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
Required Experience: 8+ years of experience with programming and software development in multiple layers in the software stack (UI, web services, micro services, database, search); Significant experience with analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, quality assurance, troubleshooting and/or upgrading of software systems; Experience troubleshooting and support enterprise applications while maintaining 24/7 availability
Required Technical Skills: Java, JavaScript
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: Significant development experience with Java and RESTful Web Service components; Significant experience developing against Amazon Web Services APIs; Experience working with PostGres, Oracle databases, or OpenSearch; Experience using the JIRA toolset, Experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred Skills: Significant development experience with ExtJS User Interface framework

Location: Hybrid with on-location work in Crystal City or Washington, DC
