COGNIZANT is looking for a JAVA Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on experience on Java and Front End technologies.

We are seeking a highly skilled JAVA Full stack Developer with 5-7 years of strong hands-on experience specializing in Core Java and Spring technologies, and domain expertise in Cards & Payments. This role is pivotal in driving our software development projects towards success ensuring high-quality solutions that meet our business objectives and technological standards.

Location: The candidate must be ready to work onsite from the Client's location in Plano TX in a hybrid model (3 days/week). REMOTE Applicants will not be considered at this time.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of high-quality software solutions using Core Java, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Ensure integration of Rest API and AWS services into software solutions to enhance functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver scalable and efficient software architectures.
• Implement best practices in software development including code reviews continuous integration and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the software development lifecycle.
• Guide the team in adopting new technologies and frameworks particularly in the areas of Microservices and cloud computing.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines quality standards and security protocols.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and efficiency in software development processes.
• Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to mentor junior developers and enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Rest API and AWS is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Angular or ReactJS is required.
• Familiarity with Linux and various database technologies like Postgres, MongoDB is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge in Cards & Payments domain is essential for success in this role.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools, version control systems like GIT and testing frameworks like Mockito is advantageous.
• Exposure to containerization technologies is a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
