Journeyman Deputy Operations Manager

Location: Patuxent River, MD (Hybrid/Remote)

Description:

HigherEchelon is seeking a motivated Journeyman Deputy Operations Manager to support The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED) team in Patuxent River, MD.

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Acts in support of the Operations Manager as an engineering technical lead counterpart.

• Coordinates the monthly reports with project managers, coordinates travel, and supports acquisition and employment of program/project resources.

• Provides support of Navy Acquisition management; and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience is required.

Required Skills:

• Knowledgeable of acquisition policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.

• Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and to effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort such as program management, systems engineering, major system acquisitions, and financial management.

• Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives.

• Must be a US Citizen

• Minimum of an active Secret Clearance is required.

Education:

• Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree.

• At least eight (8) years of recent and relevant professional engineering management experience
