Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining and managing server hardware in data centers globally.
  • Repair and perform maintenance on servers and related equipment.
  • Coordinate installations, repairs, and maintenance at remote sites with external vendors.
  • Perform server migrations and decommissions as needed.
  • Execute break/fix procedures to resolve hardware issues promptly.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of precision and organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Computer Repair and Equipment Racking: Extensive hands-on experience repairing computers and racking equipment efficiently.
  • Coordination Skills: Proven ability to coordinate installations and repairs at remote sites, working effectively with external vendors.
  • Attention to Detail and Organization: Demonstrated discipline, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Computer and Server Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with general computer systems and server hardware.
  • Server Experience: Strong experience working with server systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Networking Experience: Solid understanding and practical experience with networking principles and equipment.
  • Migration Experience: Experience in performing server and data migrations.
  • Decommission Experience: Proficiency in safely decommissioning server hardware and related equipment.
  • Remote Installation Experience: Experience in executing installations at remote locations, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Break/Fix Experience: Prior experience in identifying and resolving hardware issues through break/fix procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar).
  • Experience working in large-scale data center environments.
  • Knowledge of data center best practices and industry standards.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
