Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our Tax Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong tax knowledge related to year-end reporting and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. This role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, particularly during the busy tax season from January to April.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Financial Advisors via MSSN/PSN calls and Case Management tickets related to Tax Operations.
  • Review Year End Processing, manage mass corrections, and handle IRS files and reclassifications.
  • Process daily reconciliation and conduct ad hoc break report reviews.
  • Aid in creating and reviewing audit procedure documentation, ensuring compliance with IRS Chapter 3 & 4 NRA and FATCA regulations.
  • Maintain familiarity with various client account classifications and the associated tax document requirements, withholding, and reporting obligations.
  • Utilize Excel and other relevant computer programs proficiently to support analysis and reporting needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the financial industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of client service and process controls, with a capacity to learn internal systems quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.

Top Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of tax reporting for 1099s and 1042-S forms.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities, with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends during peak tax season (January to April) as required.
  • Strong soft skills, particularly in phone communication with Financial Advisors and Client Service Associates.
  • Eagerness to learn, with the ability to analyze issues and escalate as necessary.
