The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Junior IT Support Specialist to work in our Leidos Dynetics office in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple programs.

The candidate will contribute to the effort focused on providing design, implementation, and operations support for existing and new networks and systems for Leidos Dynetics programs. Candidate will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to team engagements, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. Candidate must show willingness to expand technical expertise to increase the impact of contributions across the team and client mission.

Primary Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for providing IT support to existing infrastructure and contributing to the implementation of solutions that address program needs while meeting Cybersecurity requirements. Candidate will support the implementation, operations, and maintenance of approved solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Position requires 0-3 years total experience, preferably in systems administration.
• Understanding of networking and systems administration standards and technologies
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems
• Candidate must also comply with the experience, training, and certification requirements IAW DoD 8570.01 IAT level II within 6 months of employment.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST security controls
• Experience implementing STIGs and providing feedback to system owners for POAM updates
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a highly-technical, team-oriented environment that includes customers and co-workers
• Strong desire to learn and constantly improve
• Experience mentoring and teaching Cybersecurity/IT methods and best practices to peers

Pay Range:
Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
