Position Summary:

The Jr. Mechanical Engineer for our client will assist in mechanical design of Electrical Systems and review them, this will include electrical panel and enclosure design for BESS/EVCI/Systems Business.
  • For the BESS System, it will be Container design with Batteries, Cooling System, Fire Suppression System Etc. along with Drive System.
  • For EVCI System, it will be Dispenser Design with Power Modules/Heating and Cooling.
  • For Systems Business (Steel/Paper/Cranes), this will include Panel and Enclosure Design including thermal and structural analysis.
Essential Job Functions
  • Should be able to design complete mechanical packaging of electrical components, bus bar design for electrical connections.
  • Support and document design by calculations such as material selection, tolerances, tolerance stack-up, stress analysis, and thermal expansion.
  • Assist senior engineers in development and execution of product designs that support the varied needs of multiple projects.
  • Create 3D detailed mechanical assembly drawings (including cooling and hydraulic units) and create BOM.
  • Check drawings for accuracy including values, tolerances, dimensions, spelling, and completeness.
  • Follow and adhere to applicable regulatory documentation during design phases.
  • Design necessary tooling, fixtures, or gauges to assist in product assembly and inspection.
Education/License Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical Inventor required.
Experience Requirements
  • Up to 2 years in similar type of business.
  • Modeling experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Working knowledge of various mechanical components such as bearings, seals, connectors, and motors
  • Working knowledge of basic machining principles, mechanical tools and shop equipment such as gauges, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, milling machines and lathes
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (UL, or CSA, ATEX, IECEx, NEC)
