Lab Manager, Infrastructure, Quantum AI

Minimum qualifications:

• 3 years of experience working in an industry lab (e.g. semiconductor fabrication or hardware research facility).
• Experience with safety regulations and protocols in a research environment.
• Experience with maintenance of lab facilities with vacuum, electrical test systems, liquid nitrogen, and hazards/chemicals.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing construction in a research and development setting.

Preferred qualifications:

• Vocational, engineering, or physics degree.
• Experience with troubleshooting vacuum, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and software systems down to a block/board level.
• Experience in maintaining lab facilities infrastructure including PCW, CDA, N2, LN2 and HEPA filters.
• Experience with CAD software (e.g. Onshape, Solidworks, AutoCad, ProEngineer), carpentry machining, welding, brazing, soldering and other joining methods; power tools and CNCs.
• Experience with electro-mechanical measurements (oscilloscopes, generators, calipers, etc.).
• Knowledge in safety guidance for developing chemical processes, equipment, and laboratory design.

In this role, you will need to have experience in maintaining lab infrastructure, coordination facilities operations, and assisting with equipment installation and facility planning in a research environment. This role requires an individual who can balance working and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders internal and external. You will interface with local municipalities, contractors, research scientists, engineers, safety and network teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Maintain lab infrastructure equipment to ensure stable operation.
• Develop infrastructure maintenance procedures and manage service contracts in a high-tech environment.
• Coordinate closely with technicians and engineers on equipment and facility related maintenance, shutdowns, and emergencies.
• Assist with equipment installation coordination, facility planning and work with vendors to provide site ready infrastructure.
• Maintain inventory and ordering/reordering consumable of high value parts and equipment.
