Lab Services Technician - North Carolina

Piper Companies is searching for a Laboratory Services Technician to join a growing biotechnology organization specializing in genomics, single-cell and translational medicine research. The Laboratory Services Technician will support the genome amplification system by performing laboratory procedures related to NGS sequencing. This is a Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (1 PM - 9 PM) onsite opportunity in Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities of the Laboratory Services Technician:

• Prepare sequencing libraries utilizing current products and solutions
• Monitor assay performance and identify routes for optimization when necessary
• Collaborate with manufacturing service providers and production staff to ensure needs are met
• Use molecular biology lab equipment, measuring tools, pipettes, and chemicals
• Conduct nucleic acid quantification assays, high throughput laboratory experiments and next generation sequencing systems

Qualifications of the Laboratory Technician:

• 1+ years of relevant assay experience
• Experience working with pipettes and molecular biology techniques and equipment required
• Motivation to grow and develop in a laboratory setting, and work in a team-environment
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline

Compensation of the Laboratory Technician:

• $22/hr - 26/hr dependent on experience
