Job Title: Lab/Test Engineer 3

Duration: 6 - 18 months
Pay Rate: $47/hr. - $52/hr.

Our client is seeking a Lab/Test Engineer 3 to join their team. As a Lab/Test Engineer, you will apply configuration skills at an intermediate to high level. The Test Engineer will analyze, design, and develop test plans and should be proficient in at least one programming language. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully with the organization.
Top 3 Hard Skills Required:
  • 5-7 years of experience in scripting and team pass scripting.
  • Ability to read and write at least one programming language such as Python, C#, C/C++, SQL (Rust is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of software quality assurance practices and testing aptitude. Job Responsibilities:
    • Configure and test hardware devices across Windows Server and Ubuntu Server platforms.
    • Deploy and manage test machines, refine test plans and executing test cases.
    • Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with the development team to enhance hardware systems.
    • Produce comprehensive and detailed reports on testing outcomes.
    • Utilize scripting languages to automate and optimize testing processes.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with C++ and Rust development, will be considered a significant asset.
    Required Skills:
    • Software testing experience in Azure Cloud/Windows/Linux server environments.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, C/C++, SQL (Rust is a plus).
    • In-depth knowledge of software quality assurance practices and a strong aptitude for testing.
    • Knowledge of personal computer hardware, and experience in deploying and managing hosts and virtual test machines.
    • Familiarity with internet protocols and networking fundamentals is preferred.
    • Solid understanding of the software development cycle.
    • Demonstrated project management abilities.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science required.
    • 5-7 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Business/functional knowledge and/or industry experience preferred.
