Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Staff Nurses assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providing service to a one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current California Registered Nursing (RN) license
  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • IBCLC certification preferred
  • One (1) year of recent acute care experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in health-related fields preferred
  • Computer literacy preferred
  • Post partum experience within the last year Labor and Delivery vaginal recovery and hemorrhage care experience within the last year
