As a Lead Data Engineer - Data Governance, Privacy, & GRC Technology you'll be responsible for acting as technical lead on projects by assessing business requirements and defining how to technically support and enable business objectives. This includes collaborating with business partners, vendors, and other technical teams to design, test, and implement technical solutions on time and with high quality. This role will provide data engineering support for multiple data governance, privacy, and GRC platforms with technical capabilities that enable data discovery and classification, data cataloging, data subject rights request processing, privacy consent, policy management, claims management, and various other aspects of risk management. This role's responsibilities also include day to day technical service management and support including, but not limited to, user management, security and permissions, configuration changes, integrations support, data management, testing and QA, and deployments. The Lead Data Engineer - Data Governance, Privacy, and GRC Technologies will also help with the creation and management of reporting and dashboards.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with program owners, product owners, technical teams, and other relevant stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements in order to provide analysis and design recommendations for creating scalable solutions that align with business and technology strategies.
  • Participate in Agile sprint planning and prioritization and provide analysis and input on story scoping, level-of effort estimates, and aid in identifying dependencies and roadblocks.
  • Utilize development, data engineering, and analytical skills to develop, implement, and maintain new features, provide technical solutions, and support end-to-end data integrations between platforms with various source and target systems.
  • Identify and analyze areas for improvement with processes, tooling, data management, and/or architecture and communicate improvement opportunities and issue escalations to program/product owners and other key stakeholders appropriately and timely.
  • Manage existing implementations, execute system configuration changes, and perform general technical service management in support of program owners, key stakeholders, and to maintain general technical change and service management.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.


What we expect from you

  • Minimum 5 years experience with software implementation and service management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills within a rapidly changing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complicated technical topics in a manner that is understood by non-technical team members.
  • Experience with working in both SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to contribute and respectfully challenge directives, roadmaps, plans, and priorities in an insightful and beneficial manner.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, privacy, and GRC software.
  • Experience with cloud technology tools (Google Cloud preferred).

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
