Lead Java developer

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java developer who will be responsible for designing and architecting high-performance Java-based enterprise systems. They work closely with business stakeholders software developers and IT teams to create scalable secure and efficient solutions. This role involves defining architecture guidelines ensuring adherence to best practices and making technology decisions to align with long-term business objectives.

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• 10+ years of experience working in IT.
• Associate should have strong hands-on development skills on Java 17 / 21
• Must Have Hands on experience in Vertx / Spring Boot / Java / REST API
• Must be familiar with Maven, Gradle, CICD, Sonar, Unit Testing, Github
• Must be familiar with distributed system architecture & design & solution design
• Very good analytical and debugging skills
• Should be a independent performer with client coordination skills
• Should be familiar with Agile / scrum / PI process
• Strong REST API Development skills
• Experience working with ore Java , Spring Core , Spring MVC , Microservices , Java 8
• Experience working with Maven / Sonar / CICD / MUP / XLR / Splunk
• Experience with Github / GHA / Splunk / SCM
• Experience with Hystrix / Redis / Prometheus / Kafka
• Prior Amex experience preferred (critical)
