About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small multi-functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Full Stack Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of scalable and secure architecture solutions using AWS React JS and Java.
  • Oversee the implementation of standard processes in software development and architecture design.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams to ensure high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation to support ongoing and future projects.
  • Ensure the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance the architecture framework.
  • Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and DevOps practices to streamline development processes.
  • Monitor and solve system performance issues implementing solutions to enhance system stability.
  • Engage with collaborators to communicate architectural decisions and their impact on business outcomes.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new tools and technologies to support project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements in all architectural designs.
Qualifications
  • Possess a strong background in AWS React JS and Java with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Cards & Payments domain understanding industry-specific challenges and requirements.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Show proficiency in creating and maintaining architectural documentation.
  • Have experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
  • Display strong communication skills capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Be familiar with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Understand security standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
  • Stay ahead of with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality scalable solutions.
