We're looking for a Lead Platform Engineer for our office in Alpharetta, GA. The position is full-time. You'll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on Azure, driving automation, and optimizing performance across our platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the infrastructure meets business goals, security standards, and compliance requirements.

Key Respnsibilities:

• Design and Architecture:
• • Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on Azure.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic vision for Azure platform architecture, including cloud adoption plans, cloud management, and monitoring.
• Implementation and Maintenance:
  • Implement and manage Azure resources including VMs, containers, Kubernetes, networking, databases, and storage.
  • Automate the provisioning and management of Azure infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place and tested.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Work closely with security teams to ensure all Azure services meet security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
  • Implement security best practices in identity management, access control, and data protection on Azure.
• Monitoring and Optimization:
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of the Azure platform and optimize as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Implement cost management strategies to optimize Azure spend.
• Collaboration and Mentoring:
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and peers on best practices in Azure platform engineering.

About you:

Qualifications:

• Education:
• • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including expertise in Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and other Azure services.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and identity management within Azure.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Certifications:
  • Relevant Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar are highly preferred.
