We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineering to design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure for AI-driven software solutions. This role focuses on building and enhancing an infrastructure platform that supports high-availability AI services and complex computational workflows. Responsibilities include designing cloud-based solutions, optimizing data storage and processing architectures, and implementing best practices in security and developer platform designs. The ideal candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of our infrastructure, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our AI applications and aligns with industry standards.

Our Team

The role will be part of the Koch Generative AI Capability and will report up through the CTO organization. The role will be working daily with technical resources, leaders, other Product Owners and enabling capability teams like Learning and Development.

What You Will Do
  • Design, implement and maintain robust scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure to support AI-driven software solutions.
  • Optimize Cloud Environments: Enhance the performance and efficiency of cloud environments by implementing best practices and utilizing advanced cloud services.
  • Manage CI/CD Pipelines: Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
  • Integrate Emerging Technologies: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to improve scalability, security, and efficiency of the platform.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software developers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure solutions align with organizational goals and project requirements.
  • Implement best practices for security to protect data and infrastructure from vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, scalability and reliability, and perform necessary maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in platform engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like GitLab, or GitHub
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CDK.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and tools for securing cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in DevOps methodologies and practices.
  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in languages like Python.


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in cloud technologies such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Experience managing multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architecture.
